The woman was "a danger to herself".
ON A Saturday evening a couple of weekends ago Birr Gardaí received a call that a woman was banging on doors in the Scurragh area of Birr.
“The woman had been aggressive in a pub in Birr,” a Garda spokesperson said, “during which she broke a glass.”
When the Gardai arrived at the pub she had left. Then they were told she was banging house doors on her walk home.
When they caught up with her “she was verbally abusive towards the Guards and highly intoxicated and a danger to herself. She was arrested.”
