Bournea Reaching Out Historical Society launch their annual publication

THE twelfth edition of Bournea Reaching Out Historical Society was launched on Friday Night 28 November in the Norebrook Lounge in Clonakenny.

This year Paddy Cody (a committee member and a man with vast knowledge of the history of this locality) did the honours and launched the twelfth volume of the publication.

Addressing the large attendance he congratulated those who contributed articles to this year’s edition and especially thanked Tim Lee for the role he played in putting the books together over the last 12 years.

The book contains wonderful articles on local history, old photos of yesteryear, obituaries, poetry and GAA news and much more.

“Thanks to everyone at the Norebrook Lounge for hosting us and for ensuring we had a very successful launch”, the Society said.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thanks the various shops and outlets who stock our publication this year.

“Our book can be purchased in The Norebrook Lounge, Clonakenny, Gala Mulrooneys Templemore, Fitzpatrick’s Newsagents, Templemore, Gala Mulrooney’s Roscrea, Carroll’s Carrig Road, Centra, Roscrea, Byrne”s Post Office Dunkerrin, Dunne’s Centra Templemore, Cambie”s Londis Templemore, Centenary Agri Co-op Montore and Centenary Agri Co-op Loran.
