A woman who gardai described as being 'highly intoxicated' was arrested after banging on doors in Offaly

Birr Gardaí recently received a call that a woman was banging on doors in the Scurragh area of Birr.

Gardai said the woman had been aggressive in a pub in Birr during which she broke a glass.

When the Gardai arrived at the pub she had left but they were told that she was banging house doors on her walk home.

When they caught up with the woman, she was verbally abusive towards gardai. Gardai said she was highly intoxicated and a danger to herself and she was arrested.
