Three St Rynagh's men have captained Offaly to win the All-Ireland Senior Hurling title and they are pictured with the Liam MacCarthy Cup (l. to r.) Hubert Rigney, Padraig Horan, Martin Hanamy.
St Rynagh's & Offaly legend, Padraig Horan, featured in an espisode of Laochra Gael on TG4 on Thursday night last.
The following night St Rynagh's Hurling Club hosted a screening of this episode of Laochra Gael at Banagher College to celebrate a local hero within the heart of the community.
The community came together for the occasion in big numbers, sharing stories, memories and moments that shaped the club’s history.
From past captains and teammates to the youngest members of the club, it was a reminder that the St Rynagh’s spirit runs through every generation. The three St Rynagh's men who captained Offaly to win the All-Ireland senior hurling title were present, Padraig Horan, Martin Hanamy and Hubert Rigney.
A surprise visit from the Liam MacCarthy Cup made it the perfect night for everyone, with many taking the opportunity to have photos taken with the trophy!
Thank you to Banagher College for hosting event and to all of the volunteers who helped out!
A legacy that lives on — in our colours, our stories and our people.
