TWO cars were badly damaged during a road traffic accident in Ballydaly, Tullamore, the recent sitting of the District Court was told.
Deborah Finlay, 94 Marian Place, Tullamore was charged with careless driving on February 18, 2025.
“The Guards attended the scene of the accident,” said Sergeant Brendan Kearns, “and saw that both cars were badly damaged.
"Paramedics attended the scene as well and treated the victims of the accident, one of whom had suffered a broken nose.
"The injured party was driving in her driveway when she was struck from the rear by the defendant.”
The defending solicitor Patrick Martin told the court that Ms Finlay works as a Care Assistant.
Judge Andrew Cody convicted and fined €500.
