The driver of a car has died following a crash with a lorry on the N20 in Co Limerick.
It happened at around 2am on Wednesday in the Bruree area.
They were pronounced dead at the scene, which is currently being preserved for a forensic examination.
The N20 is closed between O’Rourke’s Cross and Banogue and motorists are advised to avoid the road.
The driver of the lorry, a man in his 20s, was brought to University Hospital Limerick with non-life threatening injuries.
Gardai said investigations are ongoing.
They have appealed for any witnesses, including those in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage, to contact them.
