A warm sense of anticipation is building in Roscrea as preparations continue for this year’s Scór na bPáistí, bringing together young people, families and the wider community in a celebration of culture, creativity and belonging in the Premier County.
The event will take place on Sunday March 1st in the Muintir na Tíre Hall, Roscrea, with the Table Quiz commencing at 12pm, setting the tone for a day filled with music, storytelling, colour and shared tradition.
Scór na bPáistí provides children with a welcoming stage to sing, recite, perform and express themselves, while also encouraging creativity through this year’s inclusive colouring and drawing competition, inspired by traditional songs such as Éamonn an Chnoic and Cill Cháis.

The competition offers an opportunity for children across the community to connect with the stories and imagery that form part of the cultural fabric of the Premier County.
More than a competition, Scór reflects the enduring spirit of community — a space where tradition is celebrated, friendships are formed and young voices are encouraged to shine.
