A night of fantastic audience participation with all the talented musicians from Roscrea

Age Friendly Roscrea held the latest of their always much anticipated Rambling House events on Wednesday week last.

It was another night of fantastic audience participation and music with all the talented musicians from Roscrea and surrounding areas.

Their ukulele group is growing in numbers with new members showing their talent and enjoyment in learning a new skill.

Thanks again to our Fear an Tí, Seamus Moloughney who spots the talent in the audience and encourages people to participate. Their next night will be on Wednesday, March 4th at 7pm in the old Roscrea Courthouse.

Other events coming up are the Courthouse Café on Tuesday February 24th at 2.30pm, offering advice and support to people living with memory loss and their families, friends and carers.

They have a weekly Friday Club from 2pm to 4pm with a mixture of chat, songs, stories and fun.

There is a door-to-door bus service for this club for people living in Roscrea. The book club meets on the last Thursday of the month, February 26th at 3pm, new members are always welcome.

The Rosie Greys singing group meet every Wednesday at 3pm and love to see new people coming along. It’s a singalong group so no one is asked to sing solo.

Singing is very good for your breathing and lung capacity – a healthy and fun exercise!
