Members of The Roscrea Trail Blazers on the first section of the Slieve Bloom Way from Glenbarrow to Clonaslee, a total of 17km
Roscrea Trail Blazers had a very busy 2025 with trips to Madeira, the UK and numerous hikes around Ireland and 2026 is shaping up to be every bit as busy for the Roscrea club with trips to Austria, Snowdon, island trips, charity walks and numerous challenge walks to be completed.
The walk last Friday night had a smaller group than usual with a 9km walk around the Golden Grove Loop. Weather on the night was perfect for walking with lots of broken cloud with a great view of the stars above. Well done to everyone that made the effort.
The walk this Friday night February 13th sees the club going back to Lough Boora with a 9km flat walk around the parklands. Distance: 9 km, Grade: Easy, Time: two hours. Meeting at the Lough Boora Trailhead at 7pm. Please bring head/hand torch.
They had the second section of The Slieve Bloom Way from Clonaslee to Cadamstown on Sunday last. A fantastic day out with the weather taking a break from the rain they were treated to a warm, dry day on the hills.
Well done to the 23 walkers that joined them and to their new members who joined in.
