Roscrea's Age Friendly group held their final Rambling House of 2025 and Christmas edition last week and enjoyed a memorable evening where they remembered their good friend and supporter Anthony Bourke, who’s first anniversary occurs at this time.

Age Friendly Roscrea's popular Rambling House events are held in their headquarters in the former Roscrea Courthouse on Gaol Road (beside Dunnes Stores).

“We had plenty of Christmas songs and funny stories from the talented audience,” Age Friendly Roscrea's co-ordinator, Mary McMahon said.

“There was a beautiful rendition of Christmas 1915 sung by Mick McEvoy. We would like to thank our musicians, Fear an Tí, Seamus and Bean an Tí, Breda, who kindly give their time each month to entertain us all.

“Thanks also to the audience participants who build up the courage to perform their well-rehearsed pieces.

“There is no end to the talent! We’ll see you all again in 2026 for another year of great music.”
