Woman appeared before Tullamore District Court by video link
A WOMAN accused of attacking her mother and two gardai will have to provide an address to the gardai if she wishes a bail application to be considered.
The 32-year-old, who cannot be named by order of the court, had been remanded in custody with consent to bail on February 25 last.
When she appeared before Tullamore District Court by video link on February 25, Paul Noctor, BL, defending, said the woman had been having difficulty raising the bail of €400 and was asking the court for the amount to be reduced.
A psychiatric report on the accused is also awaited and Mr Noctor said he had written to four psychiatrists but had not received a response.
Speaking through the video link the accused woman alleged she was being held in custody “illegally” and she wasn't allowed got to the bank to get bail.

Judge Andrew Cody said the €400 could be reduced but an address would be needed for the accused.
Judge Cody told the woman it was up to her to get an address. He remanded her in custody with consent to bail to appear again on March 4.
The court was also told a file on the matter would soon be going to the DPP.
At a previous court sitting bail had been opposed by gardai and the court heard the prosecution evidence would be that the woman had brandished, but not used, a meat hammer, when she was assaulting her mother.
The assault resulted in the defendant's face being cut and her glasses broken. One garda who came to the scene was struck in the nose with a heel and another was headbutted, loosening the guard's tooth, the court heard.
The woman's mother told the court she no longer wished her daughter, who had been coming and going from the family home, to be living at home. Her daughter needed help and had previously been cared for by the psychiatric services.
The court was told the accused would be applying to her local authority for assistance with finding alternative accommodation.
