WELL done and a huge thanks to all those who attended Sundays event marking St. Brigid's Day, the patron saint of Clara parish.

Following a short prayer in St. Brigid's RC Church, the procession made its way to St. Brigid's COI for further prayers before making its way in the bright spring sunshine to Kilbride Abbey, under the careful direction of our traffic stewards.

Thanks to the ongoing work of the local TUS Scheme workers, the Abbey grounds are looking great and allow easy access to the Abbey itself.

Huge thanks to Breda, Noel and Phyllis, who prepared the Abbey the night before and had it looking beautiful, allowing those in attendance an opportunity for quiet reflection and prayer.

Thanks also to Fr. Joe and Rev. Yvonne for their prayers at the Abbey, to those who recited prayers of the faithful and especially to all our singers for adding their voices and music to the mornings events.

Following completion of prayers a brief history of Kilbride Abbey was provided by Tara McGrath and the day wound up with a very welcome cup of tea and cake.

A massive thanks to those who provided fresh baked goods for everyone in attendance - they went down a treat.
