Compensation paid at Tullamore District Court
COMPENSATION of €810 has been paid by a man who committed deception involving fake Longitude tickets, Tullamore District Court heard.
Conor Donnellan (21), St Columba's Place, Tullamore, had previously pleaded guilty to dishonestly inducing another male to transfer €400 to his Revolut account for two tickets on June 28, 2023.
Mr Donnellan was not in court when his case was called but his solicitor, Patrick Martin, confirmed that compensation ordered by Judge Andrew Cody had been paid.
Mr Martin said his client worked as a kitchen fitter and along with having to pay rent, he was the father of a young child.
Judge Cody remanded the man to appear in court on February 11 next and told Mr Martin to warn his client that he must turn up on that date.

At an earlier sitting the court was told the accused had a previous conviction for drugs possession and the judge warned him that a prison sentence could be imposed if compensation wasn't paid.
