Guilty plea entered at Tullamore Circuit Court

A WOMAN has pleaded guilty to stealing over €37,000 from a charity in Offaly.

Aulwin Dunne (47), Marian Place, Tullamore entered the plea when she was arraigned at Tullamore Circuit Court on Thursday.

Ms Dunne was accused of stealing €37,705.83, the property of Power4Good Ireland Ltd, on 19 unknown dates between April 1, 2023 and October 31, 2024 at Power4Good, River Street, Clara, both dates inclusive.

After saying she was guilty of the offence, the woman's barrister, David Nugent, sought an adjournment so that probation and welfare reports could be prepared for Ms Dunne in advance of sentencing.

Judge Keenan Johnson remanded Ms Dunne on continuing bail to appear in the Circuit Court again on June 3 next.

Along with probation and welfare reports, Judge Johnson ordered a victim impact statement for the sentencing hearing.
