Offaly woman in court on tobacco and alcohol theft charges
A woman has been accused of public order offences and shoplifting in Birr.
Margaret Hanlon (43), Scurragh, Birr, has been charged with public drunkenness and a breach of the peace at Spar, Railway Road, Birr on December 13 last.
It is also alleged Ms Hanlon stole two packs of Benson & Hedges cigarettes and eight cans of Budweiser, total value €53.50.
Judge Andrew Cody remanded Ms Hanlon on continuing bail to appear in court again on February 11 next.
