Plans unveiled to build houses behind pub in Offaly

Plans have been unveiled to build houses behind a pub in Offaly. Permission is being sought by Droughill Builders to build the houses behind The Hoppers Pub in Walsh Island. 

The plans include the demolition of an existing agricultural building to the rear of The Hoppers and removal of the lean-to roof structure.

The plans are for the construction of four two storey dwellings, comprising of two detached and two semi-detached house types.

It also includes anew site entrance, new access road and footpath, new site boundary treatments, hard and soft landscaping and all associated site works. 

A decision is due from Offaly County Council on February 24.
