A busy Offaly pharmacy is set to get a major overhaul after development plans were approved.

Justin Daly Pharmacy in Ferbane has been granted permission for the works by Offaly County Council.

The plans will see the demolition of an existing two storey extension and ground floor store extensions, all located to the rear of the building.

These will be replaced with a new part two storey and part single storey extension. There will also be amendments to the existing front and gable façades.

Offaly County Council granted planning permission with ten conditions attached including a stipulation on signage on the building and another on suitable lighting for car parking and pedestrian areas.
