Floral tributes at the house in Edenderry where Mary Holt and her grandnephew Tadhg Farrell were killed in a fire
GARDAI are searching three residences in Kildare and Offaly as the hunt for the firebomb killers of Mary Holt and Tadgh Farrell continues.
The 60-year-old woman and her four-year-old grandnephew died when a petrol bomb was thrown through the front window of a house in Castleview Park, Edenderry last Saturday evening.
The funeral of Tadhg will take place today at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Edenderry, followed by burial in St Mary's cemetery while Mary Holt's funeral will take place at the same church on Sunday at 1pm.

This morning (Friday, December 12) gardai issued an update on the investigation into the deaths.
A Garda Siochana statement said: “This morning 12th December 2025, investigating Gardaí from the Serious Crime Unit, Laois/Offaly Garda Division are carrying out 3 searches at Domestic residences in Co. Kildare and Co. Offaly.
“The Garda Investigation team was supported by National Units including Special Tactics & Operations Command (STOC), Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI) and units from Laois/Offaly Garda Division and Kildare/Carlow Garda Division.
“An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to any person with any information on this violent fatal incident to speak with investigating Gardaí.”
