Nevan Phelan
Offaly was well represented at the Annual Camogie Awards night on Saturday last in Croke Park.
First up were the recipients of the Volunteer Awards and the 2025’s Offaly Volunteer was Nevan Phelan, Naomh Brid, who was presented with his Award by Uachtaran of the Camogie Association Brian Molloy. Nevan received his nomination for his contribution over the years as Coach both within his club and at county level.
The Mick Dunne Memorial Awards includes an award for the best Digital Promotion which was awarded to Offaly for their promotion of the Offaly’s journey in the All-Ireland Intermediate championship. Alan Harris, the then Offaly PRO, who was the creator of the promotion was regrettably unable to attend the event and so Ronnie Byrne, Leas Runai of the Camogie Board collected the well-deserved award. Members of the Dunne family were present for the occasion
Finally, the referees who officiated at camogie All Ireland finals during 2025 were recipients of medals. Ciarán Groome was awarded his medal as referee of the eir All-Ireland u16C Championship.

Fixtures
Our intercounty season was to have got underway at the weekend with the first round of the under 16 Leinster Championship. Unfortunately, it fell foul of the weather and was postponed.
Saturday next is set to be a busy day for our underage players with county and school fixtures down for decision.
Offaly minor team travel to a Wexford venue to play the home side in the semi - final of the Leinster Minor A Championship. They are wished the best of luck.

Post Primary All-Ireland Championship - Senior C - Semi-final
Best of luck to Colaiste Naomh Cormac who play St. Cuans Castleblakeney on Saturday next in the Faithful Fields. The game gets underway at 1pm
Post Primary All-Ireland Championship - Senior D - Semi-final
The Sacred Heart School Tullamore also take to the field on Saturday against High Cross of Tuam. The venue for this All-Ireland semi-final is Ballinamere GAA grounds, and the game also gets underway at 1pm
Sympathy
The Offaly Camogie Board wish to extend sympathies to Alan Harris and his family on the passing of their father. May he rest in peace.
