KINNITTY GAA Club's annual Poc Fada event took place in Kinnitty on St Stephen’s Day.

Stretching over more than 3km of narrow roads and challenging hills, the course demands a great deal of skill - and no small bit of luck - to make it from start to finish without losing a ball.

This year’s event saw a record number of families taking part, and it was fantastic to see so many children involved and enjoying the day. A sincere thank you to the organising committee of Peter Delaney, Roger Deegan, Michael Carry and Christopher Leonard for their hard work and support in running another successful event which was won by two different teams who shared top honours. Well done to Shane Kinsella and Morgan Watkins and to first cousins James and Emmett O’Brien and to Kieran Clements of the Slieve Bloom Bar who supplied the food and refreshments. The presentation was done by Grace and Barry Mooney of Babymoon Baby shop who are their main sponsors.
