Organiser Mark Delaney with his wife Lorraine at the GOAL Mile event in Kinnitty on Christmas morning.
THE GOAL Mile took place on Christmas morning in Kinnitty for the second year running and it proved to be another fantastic success for the local community.
Residents and visitors turned out in great numbers to take part in the festive walk, run, and jog, creating a wonderful atmosphere of generosity and togetherness on the morning of Christmas Day.
Thanks to the incredible support shown, the event raised over €1,000 for GOAL, contributing to the charity’s vital humanitarian work both at home and abroad. The organisers would like to sincerely thank all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to help ensure the smooth running of the event, as well as the wider Kinnitty community for their enthusiastic participation and continued support.
A special word of thanks also goes to Lough Boora Discovery Park for their kind donation of selection boxes, which brought great joy to the children taking part. The success of this year’s GOAL Mile highlights the strong community spirit in Kinnitty and the surrounding areas, and organisers are already looking forward to building on this achievement over the next few years.
