LUMCLOON Energy proudly celebrated another successful Movember campaign this year, as members of the team embraced the month-long tradition of growing moustaches to raise awareness for men’s health, including mental health, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. The initiative encouraged open conversations about men’s wellbeing while donating funds for local support services.
To mark the end of Movember, Lumcloon Energy hosted a Shave Party on Thursday, 27th November, in Spollen’s of Tullamore, where the team’s moustaches were ceremoniously shaved off amid a festive and supportive atmosphere. Students from the Tullamore Community Training Centre volunteered their time by giving the Lumcloon team members a well-earned fresh shave.
As part of the event, Lumcloon Energy presented a donation to Accessible Counselling Tullamore and Dóchas, recognising the critical mental health and cancer support services these organisations provide across the local community. These donations aim to help the charities continue their work in providing accessible care, guidance, and support to those who need it most.

Dóchas offers vital services to those affected by cancer, providing a compassionate space for support and community connection. Accessible Counselling Tullamore ensures that mental health services remain within reach for everyone, offering affordable and timely counselling to those who need it. Lumcloon Energy is proud to stand behind both charities and contribute to their meaningful work.
Nigel Reams from Lumcloon Energy commented: “Movember is an important reminder of the need to support men’s health and wellbeing. We are very proud of our team for taking part, and we’re delighted to contribute to two incredible local organisations. We’re also grateful to the Tullamore Community Training Centre students and to Spollen’s for helping make the event such a positive and fun experience.”
Lumcloon Energy extends sincere thanks to everyone involved in raising awareness.
