Over €250,000 in funding has been announced for key community projects in Offaly under the latest round of the Community Recognition Fund.
"This investment will support vital upgrades and facilities that will serve our communities for years to come," said local Fianna Fail Deputy, Tony McCormack.
Details of the funding is as follows:
€75,542 for the renovation and conservation of the Clara Family Resource Centre
€65,000 for Clara Ladies Gaelic Football Association to provide changing and toilet facilities
€50,000 to upgrade and extend the Clara Community Playground
€60,000 to enhance the Daingean (Molesworth Bridge) Playground
Added Deputy McCormack: "This funding recognises the ongoing efforts of local volunteers and groups working to strengthen and improve our communities."
He vowed to "continue to work to ensure Offaly gets the support it deserves."
