TENS of eager volunteers steeped up to the mark on Saturday morning last and took part in a 'Spring Clean' organised by Tullamore Tidy Towns.
The volunteers met in O'Connor Square on Saturday morning where they were briefed by the chairman of Tullamore Tidy Towns, Cllr Shane Murray.
Different teams then took on projects in areas of the town including the by-pass, Ballard, the town park, the new wetlands area, on the town's streets and in the council car park in the old ball alley on the Daingean Road.

Among the participants were members of Offaly Volunteer Centre and young enthusiasts from the Offaly Travellers Movement.
Tidy Towns conducts clean-ups in Tullamore each Wednesday evening and are always on the hunt for new volunteers.
