Busy week for athletics club in north Offaly town

What a busy week for Noamh Mhuire Daingean this week's with mid week running and the all important run on Sunday with the Ashling Murphy 4 mile road race with the 1st of the endurance series

BOB HEFFERNAN AND MARY HANLEY 5K 16.05.2023

This race is very popular and proofs to be the one to get your PBs. Huge turnout as always for the race with almost 750 runners we have two members take on this race  Darren Bermingham 17.30 and Liam Murphy 18.14. Both had super runs on a very warm evening. Well done Liam and Darren

LEXSLIP 5K LE CHIELE A.C 19.05.21

We had three members travel to Leixlip on Friday night to take part in the Le Cheile AC 5k with over 200 runners on a very warm night in a hilly course finishing with a lap of the track Well done to Bob Flynn 26.54 Ashling Farrell 26.59 Connie Leech 34.35 

ASHLING MURPHY 4 MILE (1ST OF THE ENDURANCE SERIES)

Sunday held the 2nd year of the Ashling Murphy Memorial race and what a crowd  and great atmosphere. This race is ran through the town with walkers setting off at 9.45 and runners setting off at 10 am. with over 500 runners and the course record for both men and women course record was broken this year. Great supporters on route too with residents coming out along route to cheer everyone on!! Amazing support. Well done to all that helped out in any way possible without this  these events would not be possible to host. This is the first of the endurance series races with the Jack Cox race coming up in June. The club  had 55 members take on the route running. And Brenden Donagher came 1st place in his age category.
