PICTURES: Large crowd in attendance for lecture on the history of Offaly GAA in Tullamore

Kevin Corrigan gave a detailed overview on his research into the definitive history of GAA in Offaly

There was a strong turnout for a lecture on the history of Offaly GAA presented by Tullamore/Midland Tribune sports editor and historian Kevin Corrigan at the Offaly History Centre in Tullamore recently. 

Kevin has been working on a comprehensive history of Offaly GAA and it's contribution to the county over the past eight years and gave an overview of his research at the talk.

He has been sports editor of the Midland/Tullamore Tribune since 2005, in addition, Kevin has also worked in local papers in Offaly since 1990 and is a former GAA Club secretary and chairman.

The insightful talk explored the huge influence GAA has on life in Offaly and how it has ultimately given the Faithful County its own unique identity.
