Over 75 tents have been re-erected on the Grand Canal in Dublin less than a week after the migrant camp was dismantled at the location.

The numbers of migrant tents are once again increasing steadily, as numbers have risen from 60 to 75 this Thursday.

The new camp started to grow once again, between the Baggot Street and Leeson Street bridges, after being dismantled by gardaí less than a week ago.

The camp that was removed last Thursday at nearby Mount Street Bridge, where nearly 100 tents were removed.

Asylum seekers seem to be pitching tents in the area due to its close proximity to the International Protection Office on Mount Street Lower.

The latest 75 tents are now on both sides of the tow-path, with some pitched on the slope between the path and the Grand Canal itself.
