Speeding Offaly driver 'putting themselves and others at risk' this morning
A driver was caught speeding early this morning as gardai mounted checks for National Slow Down Day.
An Garda Síochána and GoSafe checked the speed of 24,922 vehicles and detected 123 vehicles travelling in excess of the applicable speed limit between 7am and 9am on Tuesday morning.
In Offaly, one driver was clocked at 64km/h in a 50km/h zone on the Arden Road.
Gardaí said the below table of speeds are examples of "motorists putting themselves and others at risk."

An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to drivers to increase compliance with speed limits in order to reduce the number of speed related collisions, save lives and reduce injuries on our roads.
