Met Éireann issues eight-day weather watch for Ireland with more warnings issued
Met Éireann has issued nine-day weather watch for Ireland with more Weather Warnings issued as more heavy rain is expected this week.
Met Eireann has issued a Weather Advisory for all of Ireland which says that spells of heavy and persistent rainfall will continue through the week, particularly in southern and eastern coastal counties. Rain will fall on saturated ground where river levels are high with high tides expected this week. This will lead to further flooding along rivers and in coastal areas.
Met Eireann has also issued two Weather Warnings for Monday and Tuesday.
A Status Yellow Rain Warning for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork and Waterford will be in place from 9pm on Monday until 3pm on Tuesday. It warns that further heavy rain falling on saturated ground combined with high river levels and high tides will lead to localised flooding, river flooding and difficult travel conditions
A Status Yellow Rain Warning for Dublin, Louth and Wicklow comes into effect at 6am on Tuesday and will remain in place until 9pm on Tuesday. It also warns that further heavy rain falling on saturated ground combined with high river levels and high tides will lead to localised flooding, river flooding and difficult travel conditions.
