Offaly man fined for fitting seat to electric scooter
A man from Edenderry was charged with fitting a seat to an electric scooter during the October 22 sitting of Tullamore District Court.
According to the law, e-scooters are designed for standing use by one person and must not have a seat attached.
Milosz Flis, 6F Clonmullen Hall, Edenderry was stopped by Garda Patrick McGee in O'Connell Square, Edenderry on January 30 last.
He was also charged with driving a “powered personal transporter along or across a footway.” Judge Andrew Cody fined €300.
