Gardaí in Offaly are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 1:38pm on Wednesday, October 15, on the Banagher side of Taylors Cross.

Gardai say that during the incident, a piece of timber fell from a passing lorry, striking the windscreen of an oncoming van and causing significant damage. Gardai say that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Gardaí are seeking to identify the lorry involved and are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling in the area at that time to come forward.

Gardai are in particular appealing to anyone with dashcam footage from the route between Banagher and Taylors Cross to make contact.
