Man found guilty of assault at GAA club in Offaly

Sentencing of Tullamore man adjourned to next year for probation report

A MAN was found guilty last week of an assault in Tullamore after a hearing at Tullamore District Court.

Brian Collins, with an address at T/C Wood Products, Cloncollig, Tullamore had been summonsed for allegedly assaulting Peter Martin at the GAA Centre, Arden Road, Tullamore on October 30, 2024, causing him harm.

Mr Collins denied the allegation and a number of witnesses were called on Tuesday last week (October 7).

Judge Susan Fay found Mr Collins guilty after hearing evidence and adjourned sentencing to February 10, 2026 for a probation report.
