Gardai are investigating the setting alight of a car in a church yard near Birr.
Gardai are investigating after a car was abandoned and set on fire at a church near Birr.
“At 1.15am in the morning, on Wednesday, June 4,” said a Garda spokesperson, “the Gardaí were called to a fire at Kilcolman Church, Sharavogue, Birr where a vehicle had been set on fire in the church's car park and abandoned. The car was removed for a technical examination.”
The spokesperson said the owner of the car hasn't been found yet and Garda inquiries are ongoing.
