A moment of immense pride for the Sacred Heart School as past pupil Mija Toleikyte was presented with the highly coveted Fergal Quinn Award at the LCA National Conference on Saturday, January 25.

Mija achieved an extraordinary 98% overall result in her Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA). Exams for 2024, earning a distinction and securing her place among the top LCA achievers in the country.

The LCANNA Fergal Quinn Awards are named in honour of the late Senator Fergal Quinn, the visionary first chairman of the LCA steering committee who played a pivotal role in shaping the programme.

These awards recognise students who achieve the highest credits in their LCA exams, celebrating their dedication and academic excellence.

Mija’s remarkable achievement is a testament to the unwavering support and expertise of the Sacred Heart School’s staff, particularly the dedicated LCA team.

The LCA programme, known for its practical, real-world focus, allows students to bank credits through continuous assessment and tasks, providing an engaging and inclusive pathway to success.
