Alternative water supplies in place at two locations in Rhode village

UISCE Éireann crews are on the ground in County Offaly working to restore water supplies to Rhode village.

Following storm Éowyn a technical issue has arisen at Toberdaly Water Treatment Plant. Customers in Rhode Village will experience no water or very low pressure. Expert crews have been deployed and it is expected that works will be complete by 5pm today, Monday, January 27.

Alternative water supplies are available at Marrion Terrace and Hillside Estate.

Once power is returned to an area it may take some time for normal water supply to be restored. Customers can go to www.water.ie and enter their address for details of localised issues and estimated restoration times.

Uisce Éireann’s James Joyce said: Uisce Éireann is working to fix the issue at the plant as quickly and as safely as possible. Once power is returned it may take some time for normal water supply to be restored”.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact them on X @IWCare with any queries. For updates please visit the Water Supply Updates section of water.ie
