Gardaí are investigating a serious Longford road crash that resulted in two people being hospitalised yesterday evening.
The collision occurred at approximately 5pm on Wednesday at Park Road, close to the former Longford greyhound stadium.
Gardaí outlined that the drivers of both vehicles required medical attention and were taken to hospital by ambulance.
They said, "Investigations are ongoing at this time.”
The injured pair, understood to be a woman in her late seventies and a man in his forties, were treated for their injuries in Mullingar and Tullamore’s Midland Regional Hospitals.
