Ciaran Mullooly is appealing for help to find a video camera missing from the National Ploughing Championships site in Ratheniska.
The former RTE Midlands Correspondent has reported the theft of a camera to Gardai in Portlaoise. It was used on his stand at the event in Laois last week.
“Robbery in Ratheniska? Sad to report a missing video camera from Stand 382 on Row 25 today . Now reported to @GardaTraffic and @NPAIE but if you happened to see it - please call me on 087 2433201,” the former RTE newsman posted on social media.
Mr Mullooly said the Sony video recorder had cost around €2,000 a number of years ago. However, he is more concerned about a tape which was on the camcorder.
"There is a tape on the camera with a very sentimental video. My own young lad's christening," Mr Mullooly revealed.
