Six Offaly players selected on Soaring Stars camogie team

Mairead Teehan is one of the six Offaly players chosen on the Soaring Stars camogie team.

SIX Offaly players have been selected of 2025 PwC Camogie Soaring Stars awards, which were announced by the Camogie Association, in partnership with PwC.

The Soaring Stars recognise the outstanding players from this year’s Intermediate and Premier Junior Championships, following another thrilling season that showcased the depth of talent across the counties.

Intermediate champions Offaly are strongly represented with six players honoured, while runners-up Kerry have four inclusions. Premier Junior winners Laois claim three places on the Soaring Stars team, with representatives from Antrim and Down also included.

The six Offaly players honours are defenders Sharon Shanahan, Amy Byrne and Orlagh Phelan, with Clodagh Leahy selected at midfield and Grace Teehan and Mairead Teehan selected in attack. It is the second year in a row that Grace Teehan has received a Soaring Star award.

The 2025 PwC Camogie Soaring Stars team is: Aoife Fitzgerald (Kerry); Sharon Shanahan (Offaly), Amy Byrne (Offaly), Rachel McCarthy (Kerry); Orlagh Phelan (Offaly), Clodagh Tynan (Laois), Dearbhla Magee (Down); Patrice Diggin (Kerry), Clodagh Leahy (Offaly); Grace Teehan (Offaly), Roisin McCormick (Antrim), Gráinne Delaney (Laois); Jackie Horgan (Kerry), Mairéad Teehan (Offaly), Aimee Collier (Laois).

The PwC Camogie All-Stars and PwC Camogie Soaring Stars teams, along with the PwC Manager of the Year, will be honoured in Croke Park on Saturday, November 15th 2025.

Speaking about the announcement, Brian Molloy, Uachtarán an Chumainn Camógaíochta, said: “I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to all of the players chosen as PwC Camogie Soaring Stars for 2025, whose displays in the Intermediate and Premier Junior All-Ireland Championships were a joy to behold this summer.
