A DEFENDANT with an address in Edenderry was convicted and disqualified for drink driving during last week's sitting of Tullamore Court.
Before the court was Vadim Shamanski, Drumcooley, Edenderry. He was stopped on April 20 last on the R441 at Monasteroris, Edenderry and found to have 104mgs of alcohol per 100 mls of breath.
Sgt Brendan Kearns said the Guards attended a road traffic collision and found Mr Shamanski there. They carried out a roadside breath test.
“He had no injuries as a result of this traffic collision and he had no previous convictions.” The court was told thatmR Shamanski was on a business trip from Poland and was staying at an address in Edenderry, the property of his Polish company.
Judge Andrew Cody fined €200 and disqualified from driving for three years.
