Offaly man is congratulated on becoming a European pool champion

The Offaly Pool Association is immensely proud to congratulate Alan Kelly on becoming a European champion.

Alan represented the Ireland C Team at the European Championships in Cyprus, where he and his teammates delivered an outstanding performance, defeating England 8–2 in the final to secure the title. An incredible achievement for Alan and all involved!

Offaly was strongly represented across multiple categories at the championships:

Men’s Representatives

Alan Kelly – European Champion, Ireland C Team

Ladies Representatives

Mary Duffy Lowbridge – Ireland

Jannette Jackson – Ireland

U-18 Representative

Adam Wynne – Ireland U-18 Team

Mark Clarke – Ireland O-60 Team

Singles Competitor

Angela Briggs – Represented Ireland as a singles player

Adam Wynne – U15 Irish Ranking Champion

Huge congratulations to Adam Wynne, who continues to impress by winning the U15 Irish Pool Association Ranking Tournament in Ennis on Sunday, 8th March.

This was Adam’s final ranking tournament in the U15 category, and he finishes the season as the Number 1 U15 player in Ireland. He now looks forward to competing in the All-Ireland Championships in the coming weeks. Best of luck Adam — the entire county is behind you!

Trevor Sheehan wins Offaly Over 50’s Ranking Tournament

Well done to Trevor Sheehan, who claimed victory in the Offaly Over 50s Ranking Tournament, defeating Mick Falsey in a competitive final.

This event, held on Sunday, 8th March, marked the final tournament of the Offaly Pool season, and we congratulate all players and competitors on a fantastic season filled with great pool and great sportsmanship.
