WATCH: Children cheer as Education Minister opens new classrooms in Offaly school

'One, two, three!' and extension is officially launched in Tullamore

THERE were cheers from assembled pupils when Education Minister Helen McEntee formally cut the tape at the official opening of three new classrooms at Charleville National School in Tullamore.

Encouraging the children to join in the countdown, Minister McEntee asked the children: “Does everyone want to count to 100?”

“No!” came a chorus of replies from the youngsters. Instead all joined in a count of “One, two, three!” and the job was done.

The classrooms were secured after a campaign by the school's Board of Management which was

championed by local public representatives.
