Trial scheduled to begin next week at Tullamore Circuit Court
AN Offaly man will go on trial next week accused of threatening to kill a woman in the county.
Barry Murphy (40), Leabeg, Ballycumber denies two counts of threatening to kill or cause serious harm to the woman on July 20, 2022.
Mr Murphy pleaded not guilty today (Thursday, October 10) when he appeared at Tullamore Circuit Court before Judge Sinead McMullan.
A jury of seven women and five men was sworn in and told the trial will begin next Tuesday, October 14.

The jurors were told there will be up to seven witnesses for the prosecution which will be led by Shane Geraghty, BL, the State prosecutor for Offaly, instructed by county State Solicitor, Sandra Mahon.
It is estimated the trial will take four days at most and Mr Murphy is represented by Geraldine Fitzpatrick, BL, instructed by James MacGuill, solicitor.
