ACCESSIBLE Counselling (ACT) warmly invites the public to take part in the 3rd annual James O’Connor Memorial Walk on Friday, October 3, at Tullamore Harriers from 5pm to 10pm.
The walk honours the memory of ACT’s late co-founder James O’Connor, whose vision and dedication brought vital accessible mental health support to the people of the Midlands. This special evening is an opportunity for family, friends, and the wider community to come together in remembrance, reflection, and solidarity.
The walk marks the closing of the #OffalyGoesGreen campaign, which encourages people across the county wear the Green Ribbon throughout September to start conversations and end the stigma surrounding mental health.
Alongside the walk, there will be live music, food and drink trucks, face painting, and goody bags for children – making it a fun and meaningful evening for the whole family.
Speaking about the event, ACT Chairperson Joe Connolly said: “The James O’Connor Memorial Walk is a chance not only to remember James, but to celebrate the legacy of hope and support he has created through ACT. We are so grateful to everyone who walks with us, and helps us continue this vital work for our community.”
