Man on continuing bail to July charged with handling stolen property
The case of a man accused of handling stolen property was adjourned to July 2 next when he must either plead guilty or be given a date for a hearing.
John Paul McDonagh (37) of Presentation Place, Birr, is charged with handling €5,000 worth of various types of construction tools knowing the property was stolen.
He is also charged with allowing himself to be carried in a vehicle knowing the vehicle was being used without the consent of the owner.
The offences are alleged to have taken place on October 26 and 27 at The Thatch, Rahan, Tullamore.
Solicitor Aisling Maloney said the majority of the tools had been recovered and the injured party had been fully compensated by a co-accused.

Judge Cody remanded Mr McDonagh on continuing bail to July 2 next and reserved a hearing date for November 18. Ms Maloney made an application for legal aid as her client was on disability.
