Two men appeared in Tullamore District Court this morning on firearms charges

Two men appeared by video link at this morning's (April 28) Tullamore District Court charged with being in possession of firearms with intention to endanger life on March 21 last. 

Patrick Ward, (37) of 7, Kilcruttin, Tullamore, and John Pio Ward (41), Bay 6, Kilcruttin Halting Site, Tullamore, had appeared at last week's District Court in Portlaoise where they were remanded in custody.

Sergeant Richard Thornton applied to the court to have both men further remanded in custody.

Judge Susan Fay granted the application and the men were remanded to the May 7 sitting of Tullamore District Court.
