Runners, joggers, and families are invited to take part in the Colin Dunne Memorial 5K Race, an annual event that brings the community together to celebrate Colin’s memory while raising vital funds for the autism unit at the local school.

The race will take place on Sunday, March 2 at 2pm at Mucklagh Community Centre, welcoming both serious athletes and casual participants.

This cherished event honours the late Colin Dunne, a beloved local teacher who tragically lost his life while competing in the Barcelona Marathon. Every year, the race keeps his legacy alive while supporting an important cause.

''The event helps to keep Colin’s memory alive in the community whilst also raising much-needed funds for the school’s autism unit,'' said the race organisers.
