All of the major supermarkets in Tullamore are closing tomorrow during the storm
A NUMBER of major supermarkets are to close tomorrow during Storm Eowyn, in Tullamore.
Lidl has announced that it will close during any red weather warning that is in place. Stores are planned to reopen one hour after weather warnings are lifted in local areas.
Aldi is also closing during the storm and while the red warnings are in place. The supermarket chain says ''we will reopen only when it is deemed safe to do so.''
Tesco says ''due to the red weather warning and in the interest of our customer and colleagues safety our stores will be closed tomorrow morning and will start reopening when the warning is lifted and is safe to do so.''
Dunnes Stores, on Church Road says it will open at 1pm tomorrow.
The Bridge Centre, Tullamore, says that ''due to the current Red Weather Warning, we’ve made the decision to remain closed until 12pm. We will update through our Social Media Channels. Will remain open today Thursday January 23 business as usual. Stay safe, and we’ll keep you updated on further developments.''
Many people are stocking up on vital supplies today Thursday January 23 but customers say shelves are being quickly replenished.
