The two Patrick's celebrate at the parkrun
A beautiful Autumnal morning greeted the participants at last Saturday’s Mountlucas parkrun.
Over 40 people participated and volunteered to make for a very enjoyable run. Brian Miskelly drove all the way from County Down to partake in Mountlucas parkrun; part of his ambition to visit every parkrun in the Country.
There was a double celebration on the morning when regulars Patrick O Keeffe and Paddy Carlyle both celebrated their 50th Parkruns. There was an added celebration for Paddy as Saturday was also his birthday, so a nice way to mark the milestone.
Parkrun is a free weekly timed 5k event for runners and walkers that takes place every Saturday morning at more than 2,000 locations in 23 Countries across the world.
Mountlucas Parkrun is based at Mountlucas Wind farm outside Daingean, so why not turn up at 9.30 am on Saturday morning to see what it is all about.
