A DARTS star who throws in the Offaly leagues and competes for Offaly in inter-county events is into the last sixteen of the WDF World Darts Championships.
Nenagh man Stephen Rosney qualified for the last sixteen when he beat Switzerland's Thomas Junghans in their second round shootout on Wednesday evening.
Rosney was in great form as he won by three sets to nil, winning nine of the 11 legs. He averaged 89 on each visit and had some great checkouts.
He plays Ben Robb of New Zealand in their last sixteen clash on Thursday evening in the Lakeside in England at 7pm.

He had a three sets to nil win over Scotland's Jim McEwan in the first round. Rosney is 81st in the WDF's main open ranking.
