There was a tremendous effort across the community for a spring clean in Tullamore which was held on Saturday, March 28.
The initiative was part of the An Taisce National Spring Clean in Tullamore which enjoyed a huge turnout from across the community with many new groups joining for the first time.
The collaborative effort in association with Tullamore Tidy Towns led to the picking up of 91 bags of litter, 4 shopping trollies, 2 bicycles and a ride-on tractor.

Over 60 people attended from 10am with even more joining later, with even more taking on tasks in their own estates, street and areas.

Tullamore & District Angling Club did trojan work on the Tullamore River at the Town Park. The team also planted 10 fruit trees in Thornsberry and flower beds cleaned at Bury Quay.
A spokesperson for the event thanked all involved including Tullamore & District Angling Club, Tullamore Canoe Club, Tullamore Credit Union Ltd, Tullamore Chamber, Tullamore Scouts, Offaly Climate and Biodiversity Action Group, and Offaly County Council.
